From the moment we walked in, this home felt welcoming, comfortable, well appointed and had amazing views of the ocean and lighthouse. I have been visiting /renting on Elbow Cay for 35 years and did not realize this tucked away gem was in the settlement! Plenty of room both indoors and out to relax, share a meal, grab a nap in the sun or shade portion of huge deck.
Loved the easy beach access, private dune location and proximity to settlement shops. Easy to keep rental cart at PO dock. Great caretakers, Elise made our arrival easy/seamless and gave good orientation to homes amenities. Cannot wait to come back to Windblown Sky!

Location, location, location! The perfect spot with beautiful views front and back. Spectacular beach right on the ocean with beautiful sunrise views. Spotless and well equipped! Very comfortable beds as well! Would highly recommend! Hopetown never disappoints!

From original booking to our arrival and departure departure two weeks later this home couldn’t have been better. Communication with Elbow Cay Properties was quick and information about cottage very clear. The cottage was a short walk just past Vernon’s grocery store near the basketball court in the north end of the village. it had a perfect view of the ocean from its very large deck. Lots of outdoor chairs and two outdoor eating areas. Indoors was very comfortable with upholstered sofa and chairs and another indoor eating area. Kitchen was open plan overlooking living room out towards the deck and ocean. The beds in the three bedrooms were super comfy and lots of towels for indoors and beach use. No problem with wifi. Easy access to beach down a few steps right from the deck. Would love to return.

Our first time back since Dorian and so happy to see all the progress. As return guests to Windblown Skies it ticks all the boxes for us: excellent location right on the beach with large deck with both sun & shade; well laid out cottage for 2 couples to share; close to old town. Note that golf carts must be parked in town so there is a walk back to the cottage after dinner and excursions to the south end. A gem of a place to get a break from old man winter.

Our family of Four thoroughly enjoyed staying at Windblown Sky this past February. The communication was very good our pickup to and from the ferry was on time. Our caretakers were very responsive and friendly. The house was spotlessly clean with everything we needed for the week stay. The location of the house is perfect- on the beach- beautiful sunrises. The decoration and comfort absolutely right on. We had a wonderful time, eating in sometimes and going out to easily accessible ( with a rented golf cart ) restaurants, etc.
only suggested is a heads up about getting drinkable water, perhaps provided upon arrival with availability to refill containers via cart ride on the island.
We loved our visit at Windblown and hope to return again!! Thank you!

Windblown Sky is a great rental property...we stayed there before and location is great...unfortunately one of the AC systems was not working...and Fortunately! the caretaker took a window unit out of his own house and put it in the master bedroom...that was quite helpful and generous of him.

Beautiful visit to beautiful Cay. The house was well equipped, clean and spacious enough for our family of 5. The back deck is incredible. The location right on the beach is great. Easy walk to the lower public dock and to town. Wish golf carts were allowed at the property, would have made trips to town much easier.

We made a very special last-minute trip back to the Abacos, and we’re fortunate enough to find Windblown Sky available for our dates. It’s a well designed, clean and comfortable home right in the Atlantic dune in Hope town. Easy walk into the core of town — two blocks to the Lower Ferry Dock, Vernon’s Groceries, and four blocks to Capn Jack’s bar/restaurant. The house is nicely appointed with large decks facing the ocean, and a smaller deck facing the Hope town lighthouse. Golf cart rental ($60/day) allows easy access to the south end of Elbow Cay (Abaco Inn, Firefly, Tahiti Beach, etc. The folks at Elbow Cay Properties (Carrie and Elise) were great to work with. Only issue we had was very little water pressure and virtually no hot water. On our last full day, they removed the water filter from the pump (apparently clogged) which resolved both issues. They say they are getting a new on-demand water heater for the house soon. When we return to Hope town, we will definitely try to book Windblown Sky again.

Our group usually visits Hope Town yearly, however we had not been there since Dorian struck and didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised at how much Hope town has recovered over the last 2 years. Windblown Sky was even nicer than the pictures presented in the rental information. The views of the ocean from the indoor and outdoor living spaces atop the dune were fantastic! The few issues we encountered upon our arrival with internet access and bath towels were resolved quickly. Access to the beach was from stairs built directly off the deck. We only had a short walk to Vernon's and the Harbour View grocery stores, Captain Jacks and the ferry dock. Our 16 day stay was over way too soon!

Elbow Cay Properties is great to work with and Windblown Sky is a wonderful home in a fantastic location. Views from all sides are stunning. Home is comfortable for the 5 of us. We’ve spent our last 2 Christmases in this home. We might just be back for a third time. Hard to say goodbye to Windblown Sky

Great house, located on a beautiful beach.

Great experience! Nice house in a good location with beautiful views of ocean and lighthouse. Refrigerator is not working properly. The fridge does not get cold but the freezer works. The toaster doesn’t work and needs replacing. The white hairdryer in master bathroom doesn’t get hot. The staff were helpful and friendly. We would love to come back again soon!

Our family stayed here for Christmas/New Year's 2020 and we had a fabulous stay. House has a great location and it is updated and really nice. Back deck overlooking the beach and ocean is just fabulous! Elbow Cay Properties is awesome and easy to work with. Highly recommend!
