Peace N Rice

Peace and Rice was located in a great spot, gorgeous oceanfront views from the pool deck and kitchen/family rooms. It was a convenient, short (rented) golf card ride to the marina as well. The home was tastefully decorated, unfortunately the kitchen was not well stocked with cooking items. The bathroom shower had mold in the grout lines and the toilet seat was broken for our entire stay, even though we were told it was to be replaced the day we arrived. We also were unable to use the pool for two days as the pump seemed not to be working, the pool water went from cloudy to green. The pool had to be shocked in order to get it back to swimmable condition. Finally, the island power went out on our last night and the back up generator never kicked on until the morning, when the maintenance man could be notified. The home is in need of some love and and upkeep.

We had the most amazing experience!!! Then communication is impeccable. We crossed over on boat & had to adjust our stay due to weather. Elbow Cay Properties were quick to respond and make certain we were taken care of. The home was clean, beds were so comfortable and there are NO words for the VIEW!!
The moment we arrived , Melanie was there. I have never had service quite like this. Anything we needed, she went over and beyond. I can go on and on about her- she made out families trip memorable and smooth.
We are so grateful for the hospitality.
The home is by far the best place we have ever been . We are already missing “Peace n rice” we willdefinitely be back soon!

Nothing better than swimming or surfing in the ocean and then climbing up the stairs to your house and jumping in the pool!
If you love the ocean then this is the place for you! Well positioned just south of the Abaco Inn.

This house was amazing. It had everything we needed and some. The property caretaker was great and was there when we needed something. Definitely looking forward to coming back soon.

We just returned from a wonderful week at Peace n Rice. From the moment we arrived on island, Ruben our host was there for anything we needed all week. The villa is as described and the pictures are up to-date, so need to worry about what to expect. The villa is perfect for a couple of families. Can't wait to come back!

The house was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was in very good condition and very clean. The house was comfortable and would definitely come back to stay in this house.

The property manager did a fantastic job and was very helpful with our needs. The owner needs to do some repair to the property,wooden decks are rotten, nails sticking up,electrical issues inside,and basically wore out. Needs some love $$$$$$$

We have visited 6 beaches as a family (Caymens, Bahamas(2x), Florida, Jamaica and Cancun). This was our favorite family trip. It was great hearing the ocean and feeling the sun 24x7. It felt like we were living on a nice boat. The house was better maintained than houses near by. It was a little chilly to go in the pool in March. We mostly played in the sand, walked on the beach, and visited sites on the island. The pros of the house are: great maintenance, had a pool, beautiful view of sunrise, private beach, great wifi, near restaurants and Tahiti beach, great HVAC/generator. Cons: gas oven ignitor not working (used lighter), most windows did not open (but large doors did), got a splinter on wooden deck (needs sanding and sealing), caretaker did not pickup the phone a single time (she needs voicemail or to pick up phone-- the main office did pick up the phone though). We recommend bringing a wetsuit for kids when it is chilly, bringing a kite, bring a sand shovel, renting golf cart, bringing apple tv with HDMI cord. If we return we would come when it is warmer (summer) so kids can swim more. Great place overall.

This was our first time on Elbow Cay, and it was truly amazing! I worried that the location would not be favorable, as I read many reviews that the north end of the island would be better. I completely disagree. You definitely need a golf cart with this property, and the golf cart allows you to explore the entire island. You can easily walk around the north part of the island while getting to see what the south end of the island has to offer! This home is on the beach, has a pool, and is plenty big for a family of up to six. One thing to note, there are two levels to this home that do not connect. There are two bedrooms on the top level and one bedroom on the bottom level. I mention this because with 3 smaller children, we only utilized the top level as the kids couldn’t stay on the bottom level alone. It was no big deal at all. We loved this property and will rent it again and again! The property manager, Rabanette, went above and beyond to help us out. She’s amazing!!
