Loved Dunwanderin. This home is adorable and centered in the heart of Hope Town. Very well appointed and clean with beautiful Bahamian furnishings and colors. Comfortable and well equipped. One of our favorite spots in paradise.

Great little cottage in Hope Town. My family of 5 stayed there and was comfortable. Only downside is the single shower. Everything else was great.

We had nearly 3 weeks in Dunwanderin and loved every minute. It is one of the houses which survived the hurricane and is full of history and charming details. It is comfortable and very well provided. The little patio deck outside was lovely particularly in the early morning and evening. Although it doesn't have a 'view' as such, it is close to everything in Hope Town, and there are views in every direction within a few yards of stepping outside. Captain Jack's is just round the corner and Vernon's Grocery right behind. You can view the sunset within a few minutes walk to the kissing seat, and the ocean a short walk to the east, with a wonderful beach to swim in. The Lower Dock is very close and you can get the free shuttle over to the Lighthouse marina very easily. The Elbow Cay office was round the corner, so very easy to sort anything out and arrange help at departure! They couldn't have been more helpful. We would love to return - and Dunwanderin would be our first choice.

This was our first time staying at Dunwanderin. It was a great house and location is perfect. We would definetly stay there again. Elbow Cay Properties is always great to deal with.

Location is perfect for being in the heart of town right on Lovers Lane. Night jasmine welcomes you into the house in the evenings and the back deck is surrounded by beautiful hibiscus. Definitely plan to stay here again soon!

The best ever.

We had a lovely time at this property for our stay on Marsh Harbour. It was extremely close to the dock so getting our stuff into the house was very easy. The house was very warm and cozy and had everything we needed in it. The back porch was our favorite part, surrounded by trees and beautiful flowers.

Our family of 4 had a lovely stay at Dunwanderin. It’s right in the gated settlement area and an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, shops & groceries. Everything worked well and the house is very charming. It is not a modern, large house, but that’s not what we were looking for. By far the best part of the home was the beautiful back patio and outdoor shower. I looked forward to showering under the beautiful bougainvillea and stars every night! Great water pressure and hot water! If I were to make a suggestion to the owners- put a queen size bed in the downstairs bedroom. We we a family of 4 with a teenage son and daughter. We put them in the upstairs bedrooms and took the downstairs for a little separation. The bed was a little small. The golf cart parking was a bit of a pain, but once you settle into the pace of Hopetown it’s no big deal. Wi-Fi was great. TV not so much, but we did not care.

We had a lovely time at Dunwanderin. The location is excellent in the middle of Hope Town and not too far from the beach, yet fairly quiet. The house is charming and perfect for a couple.

Adorable cottage in the middle of town. Close to gift shops and grocery store. Friendly neighbors and responsive hosts. Comfortable beds and furniture and the kitchen was very well equipped with high end pots and pans and spices. Very comfortable and a wonderful place to retire after long days. The outdoor shower was an added plus!

We had the best time. We have been to Hope town many time but we never stayed in the settlement. The house was PERFECT. It was 100% accommodating. The location was great and convenient to everywhere we went. I would definitely recommend Dunwanderin to my friends and family .

Our VRBO sprung a leak and mid-week, we found ourselves in desperate need of accommodations for a family of6. Elbow Cay properties and Lory to the rescue!

Perfect for our family of five. Our adult children had the upstairs floor to themselves complete with a full bath, yet funny how we all stood in line to take a shower in the outside cabana! House cozy and clean. Kitchen fully equipped. Conveniently located behind Vernon’s Grocery and Munchies. So close to Jack’s you can walk home after a few “Jackhammers”and not get lost! Our caretaker, Francois, was kind and courteous. Thanks to all for our stay. We shall return.

You will love this quaint cottage situated right behind Vernon’s! The inside is perfectly decorated and very clean. The outside has a secluded deck with a table large enough for your family to enjoy. We only wished it had a front porch to people watch and mirrors in the bedrooms (also in need of a full length mirror). We all said we would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

We had a wonderful time. The staff was fantastic and so friendly. Our luggage was lost and they helped make getting it back a breeze. There was a bit of weather and they took care of everything immediately. Just a wonderful experience in a wonderful place. Can’t wait to return.

We kept our rental boat at the Lower Dock, swam in the Ocean very close to the rental, and took nightly walks. The outdoor shower was really convenient. Loved it!

A great experience to repeat

Quaint and cozy accurately describes this cottage. Relaxing atmosphere, historical architecture, close to the beach and with all the modern conveniences. The staff was superb, making sure our needs were taken care of and our stay enjoyable. The history of Hope Town is intriguing. We thought this would be a once in a lifetime opportunity, but I think we will be back.

This cottage was perfect for our vacation. Located right next to Vernon’s so we woke up to the smell of his fresh baked breads and we were close to shops, restaurants, the beautiful beach and our dock for our rented boat. The back patio is surrounded by lush vegetation and beautiful flowers, a welcome retreat for morning coffee, shade for an afternoon rest and evening dinner and games around the table. And Elbow Cay Property personnel were super helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend this cottage.

Dunwanderin' is a nice little cottage located in the middle of town. All the amenities for pleasant stay and property personnel met us at the dock showed us to the cottage.

Our family of 3 had a great time on Elbow Cay! Dunwanderin' is located right in the middle of Hope Town, and is a short walk, bike ride, or golf cart ride to everything you want to see and do. The house was well stocked and was very comfortable and welcoming.

Great waking up to the smells from the Bakery behind us at Vernon's grocery. Extremely convenient location, comfortable and charming and well equipped.

Everything went very smoothly. the staff was very helpful. We had an issue with the stove, but I believe they were replacing it before the next renters were coming in.

This is a wonderful cozy home with everything you need. And there is no better location. Hopetown is magical and is recovering slowly but surely from horrible devastation by Hurricane Dorian. The small scale of the island is super nice, the people are lovely and the beach is always beautiful.

Great location. Easy to work with. Fully equipped. Nice place. Loved the outdoor shower. Rental has an issue with the upstairs air conditioner leaking over the downstairs slider. Also has evidence of water damage outside the upstairs shower that has caused the siding to warp in the upstairs bedroom. Informed them and they said they would be fixed. Overall good experience. Thanks.

Perfect cottage and location.

Dunwanderin made our stay at Hope Town homey and added even more charm to the island experience. Conveniences surround the property (coffee house on one corner of the lane and a small grocery/bakery on the opposite end of the lane), but we could enjoy being inside or on the secluded back patio listening to the sound of nearby waves without hearing any foot traffic out our front door. The property was perfect for our family of four (one child with special needs) - steps/minutes from the beach and habor.

The house is charming and we especially enjoyed that library of books, well stocked kicthen for our thanksgiving feast preparations, and the large outdoor table. Cant beat the location unless you are interested in a view.
