Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saltwater Sanctuary. We were here in February 2023 and now back again in 2024. What an adorable Bahamian cottage that is so beautiful, with a lovely covered porch. We loved watching the sailboats pass by as we sat on the gazebo. The heated saltwater pool was amazing, flowers and tropical greenery everywhere, and the location could not be better. Beds are so comfy and the kitchen well-stocked. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Saltwater Sanctuary certainly lived up to its name. Fabulous location in the prettiest part of Hope Town, and a short walk to the ferry dock. Entering the courtyard shaded by lush tropical vegetation, you have a view of the heated pool and the Sea of Abaco beyond. I loved the sense of quiet luxury and all the nice touches throughout. Made my stay relaxing and memorable.

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending a week on Elbow Cay in this lovely home. We loved the view of the water from the porch shaded by the gazebo, and we enjoyed watching the boats pass by, even from the heated pool during our November visit. The house was lovely and very welcoming. The decor was very tasteful and we enjoyed the spacious kitchen and dining area. The bedrooms were comfortable with large baths for each bedroom. The living room had a nice sized TV, many books to choose from, and other games and puzzles. We would definitely choose this great property again when visiting the island in the future.

My husband and I took a delayed honeymoon in August and stayed at Saltwater - it could not have been a more perfect getaway for us! As a business owner, my work never stops, so the need for a location where we had both the conveniences of home, yet the ability to truly disconnect was imperative. Saltwater had everything we needed and more! This cozy stay had all the touches of home - it felt cozy and welcoming. The adorable attention to detail made it beachy-chic. The views were GORGEOUS. We loved having a variety of beaches to visit, the ability to rent a boat to explore…we evern made fast friends with a sea turtle, which was such a highlight to our trip. When we didn’t feel like going out to eat or hanging at the beach, lounging inside was so relaxing and taking in morning coffee on the porch and watching the sun come up definitely made us never want to leave. They had wonderful conveniences in the kitchen as well, which allowed us to stay in and cook on the evenings we just wanted to relax. Check in and check out was a breeze. It’s truly hard to find such a gem that allows you to feel secluded, yet has so much to do, while making you feel so cozy. We will definitely be back!

I loved my stay at Saltwater Sanctuary. This gem has everything, A beautiful view of harbor as well as beautiful sunsets. The cottage is cozy and has everything a person needs to be comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and every thing is pristine. The kitchen is well stocked and ready to prepare meals when you arrive. Another great feature is the pool facing the ocean. Very relaxing while enjoying the view! I will definitely be returning to the beautiful Saltwater Sanctuary!! Thanks for the memories!!

My wife and I stayed at the Saltwater Sanctuary for a couple weeks. What a terrific location! An incredible home in paradise. Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed and everything you want in a vacation home. We loved the view off the back patio where we were able to watch the boats go in and out of the harbor along with the sea life. The sunsets were amazing! So much to do. Great restaurants. Incredible scenery. We were extremely happy with our stay. The owners were very accommodating. We will certainly go back!

Loved, loved my stay at Saltwater Sanctuary in Hopetown. Delightful setting surrounded by gardens and sitting right at the entrance to the harbor. The cottage is very comfortable and decorated in a Bahamian style. The kitchen is well-stocked. Slept well with comfortable beds and bedroom doors looking out onto the porch We especially loved watching the sun set from the gazebo, walking to the beach just minutes away, and dinners at local restaurants. The location was great and convenient within the settlement. Could not ask for a more perfect setting for our vacation. Planning our next stay now!
Beautiful home and gardens with the best location on the island. We enjoyed watching the boats and sunsets from the gazebo.(coffee to cocktails) The home has everything you need to enjoy your stay. We loved walking around the town area. Our golf cart was about a 7-minute walk from the house, and the ferry dock was at the bottom of the hill. It was too windy on our last day to boat so we enjoyed the pool and sandy beach. We loved enjoying breakfast & dinner outside on the porches each day. Hope to be back!
